Shows Currently Touring
My proposals explore different aesthetics and stage languages, with Physical Theatre as a common thread.

All of them stand out for their strong physical commitment and a visual language that integrates comedy and the poetry of movement.

My projects address themes that invite reflection, creating a deep connection with the audience through emotion and critical thinking.
Pandora
Together with Oren Schreiber, I co-created Duo Niu (2023), a Hand-to-Hand company specialising in circus-theatre shows aimed at family audiences. Their work stands out for its vintage aesthetic and a classical style in both performance and sound design.

The company merges Acrobatics, Physical Theatre, and Magic, working with humour and satire. With a multidisciplinary approach that prioritises visual storytelling, their work explores universal themes with creativity and sensitivity, reflecting on contemporary issues such as communication overload and the search for genuine connection in a hyperconnected world.

The show "Pandora" presents a comedic family adventure filled with acrobatics and illusion tricks. A family dinner is interrupted by a storm of improbable events that challenge the clichés of romantic relationships. The protagonists transform into superheroes to restore the lost balance.

vertical boom
"VAYA" is a Contemporary Circus company known for creating multidisciplinary shows where acrobatics, physical expression, and visual storytelling intertwine to tell moving and thought-provoking stories. Since its founding in 2016, I have participated as a co-creator and performer, contributing to the development of productions that stand out for their originality, humour, and technical precision.

Through a carefully crafted aesthetic and an in-depth exploration of human connections, VAYA has developed works recognised for their ability to address current themes. The company continues to pursue projects that combine physical risk and visual poetry to deliver contemporary circus performances that connect with and inspire audiences.

"Vertical Boom" is a quartet of acrobatic clowns who defy the laws of gravity through a variety of circus techniques: juggling, rola bola, Chinese pole, and group acrobatics. Inspired by human clumsiness, this troupe of clowns transforms absurdity into laughter, captivating both children and adults with their innocent humour and unusual skills.

PROJECT FEMEN
Femen is an artistic experience designed for teenage and adult audiences, combining performative and visual arts and presenting two complementary activities.

The first activity consists of three interactive installations: Diverse Perspectives, I, Monster, and Do I Feel What I Feel?. These installations seek audience participation, inviting attendees to interact with objects that challenge individual perceptions of identity.

The second activity is the presentation of the show Femen, a solo artistic performance of a poetic and provocative nature that questions the social constructs imposed on women, deconstructing the binary view of identity. With a fusion of theatre, circus, and magic, it explores with humour and sensitivity the search for a fluid and multidimensional self. The performance is inspired by Judith Butler's Theory of Performativity.

ABRAZO
Abrazo is a 2025 solo artistic creation. Supported by the Municipality of Lagos, Portugal, this work is a co-production between Berna Huidobro and the Teatro Experimental de Lagos. The piece explores the power of physical and emotional encounters between different generations, reflecting on the borders that separate us.
Through physical theatre, magic, and string puppets, Abrazo challenges age, social, territorial, and emotional boundaries, offering a critical perspective on how these divisions are constructed and maintained in society.
The "embrace", as a universal gesture of welcome and empathy, becomes the driving force of the creation, symbolising the dissolution of these borders and inviting the audience to reconnect in a deep and authentic way.
